We are honored that Ashley Longshore will be joining us as a special guest for this years Gala! Premiering on the night of the Gala, "Diamonds of History: Mighty Women by Ashley Longshore" will explore the lives and impact of 29 trailblazing women who have influenced arts and culture, science, and society in Longshores first-ever museum exhibition. The exhibition will feature portraits in Longshores signature pop art style, a large portrait of Audrey Hepburn, and a gem painting specially-created for this exhibition. MORE ABOUT ASHLEY LONGSHORE: Ashley Longshore is a self-taught New Orleans and New York City-based multi-media artist, entrepreneur, author, and social media maven. Her pop art paintings often feature the likenesses of celebrities and other familiar faces adorned with irreverent sayings and natural imagery such as flowers, butterflies, and gems. Dubbed "a young, feminist Andy Warhol" and "Fashions Latest Art Darling," Longshore explores themes of popular culture, Hollywood glamour, American consumerism, and, most recently, impactful women throughout history with her "Mighty Women" series. Longshores art has been exhibited across America and Europe and featured in publications including Vogue, Elle, Forbes, and The New York Times. Longshores career is colored by collaborations with well-known names such as Gucci, Titan Black, Maybelline, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Judith Lieber. Recently celebrated by Bergdorf Goodman - a luxury department store in New York City known for its artistic collaborations - as the first female artist to present a solo exhibition in over a century, Longshore and her pieces have expanded into a global brand. Longshore plans to leave her mark as a celebrated and prolific pop artist through the development of her foundation, The Ashely Longshore Charitable Trust.
